Privacy Policy

We collect anonymous gameplay statistics to find out where our games lose people, and we keep whatever you send us when you write in. We do not collect your name, your Steam ID, or your email unless you type them yourself, and we do not sell anything to anyone.

Our games send anonymous statistics about how they are played. This is on by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings > Gameplay > Anonymous Gameplay Data.

Each event carries:

• a random install identifier, generated on your machine the first time the game runs
• a session identifier, generated fresh each time you launch
• what happened and where: a run starting, a structure placed, a menu opened, a screen visited
• timings, and performance metrics such as frame rate
• the game version and platform

The install identifier is a random number. It is not derived from your Steam account, your hardware, or anything else about you, and it is not linked to any of them at our end. It exists so we can tell one player’s first run from their second, which is the entire question the data is there to answer.

We use it to find where players get stuck or stop playing, and to fix those places. If you turn it off, the game stops sending and nothing further is collected.

The contact form on this site, the support pages, and the report window inside a game all send us what you fill in: your message, the topic, and your name. Your email address is optional and used only to reply.

A report sent from inside a game can also include your Steam display name, the build version, and diagnostic text such as the tail of a log file, so we can reproduce what went wrong. The report window shows you what it is attaching before you send it.

This mail goes to our own inboxes and is kept as long as it is useful to keep. It is never used for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you reported a bug.

• Your Steam ID, or any other account identifier, from gameplay statistics
• Your name or email, unless you type them into a message yourself
• Free text of any kind from gameplay statistics
• Your IP address. Requests carry one, as every internet request does, and ours is used momentarily to rate-limit abuse and then discarded. It is never written down beside anything else
• Payment details. Purchases happen on Steam and we never see them

We keep the list of companies touching your data as short as we can manage. Each of these processes data on our behalf and under contract:

• Vercel hosts this site and the endpoints the games talk to
• Neon is the database gameplay statistics are stored in
• Resend delivers the mail your messages become
• Valve runs Steam, and has its own privacy policy covering your account and purchases

You can turn gameplay statistics off in the game’s settings at any time, and you do not have to give us a reason.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be deleted, or ask us to stop using it, by writing to the address below. Anonymous gameplay statistics are the one thing we may not be able to find for you: without a name or an account attached, there is no way for us to tell which rows were yours. The install identifier is the only handle that exists, so the game shows it to you directly beneath the Anonymous Gameplay Data setting, with a button to copy it. Send us that and we can delete the rows it belongs to.

Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will delete it.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change means we start collecting something genuinely new, we will say so in the game rather than quietly editing this page.
